Today's post is another fortnightly five songs but this time I've been given five recommendations of what I should listen to and I'll be giving my honest opinions on them.
KODAK- pat
This was just vibes from Pat. It felt like you was reminiscing on the old days so he did a great job lyrically. He has a mix of a more upbeat and quicker paced rapping style of Loyle Carner and Spencer Elmer so definitely my vibe of song for sure. This is his first single and I think he did a sick job.
RATING: 8.5/10
CHAMPAGNE SHOTS- SAINTE
This was so sick, everyone needs to listen to this song! I don’t know what it is about this song but it was so effortlessly talented. The beat was mad, and his voice is so chill and somewhat therapeutic. This song was very good.
RATING: 9/10
MOLLY - CHASE ATLANTIC
I love Chase Atlantic and I feel like with their songs I will either really love it or really hate it; normally depending on how the singers voice sounds on the track. The actual beat and music was great but I'm not a fan of this song as a whole.
RATING: 4.5/10
SOBER - MAHALIA
Mahalia’s voice is so good and this song was great too but I feel like the music overshadowed her voice a bit so I didn’t completely love it. I also don’t know why the song was so long because it felt like I was listening to the same lyrics on repeat, however I can acknowledge her style and sound.
RATING: 5.5/10
SWEET - ASHBECK (FEAT. EL LONDO)
I had high hopes for this in the first ten seconds, before he started rapping, and then it disappointed me. The songs alright but there's nothing exciting about it; it’s just a bit dead. But I will listen to more of his music because I think he has potential to have a song that I like.
RATING: 3/10
